Frank Kimler Poker Run

The Kimler Family is excited to announce we are hosting the third annual Frank Kimler Memorial Poker Run to benefit three different charities. In the past two years, we successfully raised over $25,000 with the help of our community, family and friends. This year we have set the date for Sunday, August 24, 2008 at the Wallkill / Shawangunk Club House on Birch Rd in Wallkill NY. Registration is from 9am - 11am with a chicken BBQ to follow at 1pm. There will be live music, raffles, 50/50's, silent auction and door prizes. This years proceeds will benefit the American Cancer Society for Pancreatic Research, Orange and Sullivan County's Hospice's "Frank Kimler Legacy Program" and the Shawangunk Employee Benefit Fund for families in need.

We are asking for YOUR help. Frank Kimler of Walden, New York passed away from a short but courageous battle with pancreatic cancer on January 14, 2005, at just the young age of 52. He loved the outdoors especially during the warm months because he was able to ride his Harley Davidson Springer Soft-tail. So, whether you can donate money to one of the organizations, gift certificates, door prizes or even your time it would be greatly appreciated. Last year was a great success. We raised a great deal of money and had a great time doing it. I hope you can make it out and enjoy this special day with all of us.
